I voted "Don't know" because there are huge economic factors to consider.
Our greatest monetary strength is our British Pound. Down the years especially recentlym the Euro has suffered. However, if we leave the EU it will cost the country billions, and the government will tax each and every one of us if we voted to leave.
I know some Greeks. They want to keep the Euro despite their love for the Drachma. But the Drachma if it was re-introduced would quickly devalue, whereas the Euro is far stronger. greeks want to take their Eruos out of the country and deposit them in foreign banks such as Belgium and France and the Netherlands. I know some Greeks already have made private banking in Belgium. One day, the Greek governement will clamp down on currency being exported .. maybe it is already planning penalties. After all, it wants its peoples' money but if they are not paying their taxes, it will go bankrupt even further. If England was to break free of the EU, could we end up going the same way as Greece?
I am in Commerce: Cargo shipping by freight, air and sea. We depend upon being a member state in the EU for financial reasons.
