Euthanasia! Some would say we have a right to die. Some would say we
should be able to die with dignity and some would say it's mercy killing and others would call it Murder!

What's your views about euthanasia? If a loved one asked you to help them to die, would you help them?

If someone asked me I wouldn't help them, nor would I ask someone to help me die. No matter how you look at it, it's still murder.
Hopefully I'll never be in that position.

I wouldn't help anyone but I would like the option of a dignified death for myself if there was nothing that can be done for me..done right with the doctors

I can understand people not wanting to live in pain and I'm not too sure where the line should be drawn - but the taking of life, even ones own, should never be made an easy option.

I believe that people should be allowed to make their own personal decisions.

'Suicide' against the law!? ...Ludicrous! - I can't imagine what the penalty could be. - A pine box?

i agree, i'd like that option for myself. i wouldn't want to become a vegetable on the bed, alive only because i'm on life support. when you reach that point, that's not living anymore.

Wouldn't it make a great username!
And with the weird names people give children nowadays I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little Euthanasia somewhere.

I think you should have the right to end your life if you are in a lot of pain and know there is no cure.We would put our pet dog/cat down if they were suffering but it's wrong to end a persons life.I don't want to end up having to have everything done for me by my hubby or family,so if I decide if that time ever came then let me die. IMO

This would be my thinking too! I believe in re-incarnation, and I think the experiences we have in life are lessons, in one form or another.

The famous "sleeping Prophet" Edgar Cayce, is supposed to have learned his psychic abilities while lying wounded on a battle-field in a previous life. While lying there in excruciating pain, he learned how to get "out of his body" where there was no pain.

As far as family and friends having to do everything for me, I know that is not going to happen Sad - but there are lots of services available, if it conmes to that, where help is available. Also "pain control" is a highly developed science used all the time in hospices etc, so IMO, there is no need for anyone to live in constant pain.
